The Who Band Members consists of Roger Daltrey (79 Years Old) and Pete Townshend (78 Years Old). This band is one of the pioneers in the UK hard rock sound.

Roger Daltrey is the Lead Singer of The Who. Townshend and Daltrey founded what eventually became one of the best-selling English bands in the 60s.

Daltrey received Lifetime Achievement Award from the British Phonographic Industry in 1988. Planet Rock's fans voted him as the fifth-greatest voice in 2009.

According to Rolling Stone's list of 100 Greatest Artists which includes Queen, Prince, and Michael Jackson at the top, the singer is ranked 61st among the greats.

John Entwistle is the Bassist of The Who. According to Rolling Stone's "50 Greatest Bassists of all time," he ranked third.

From the early age of seven, the artist started learning piano. After meeting Townshend in school, the two formed a trad jazz band, later Daltrey and Townshend asked him to join the band.

In his solo career, the artist has released seven studio albums. He was the first member to release a solo album. Smash Your Head Against the Wall was released in 1971.

Keith John Moon was the drummer of The Who. He was known for his self-destructive behavior and eccentric nature.

Despite his personality, he was widely revered for his unique drumming skills that focused on tom-toms, cymbal crashes, and drum fills.

Moon also released his solo album in 1975 titled "Two Sides of the Moon." Keith's drumming was praised by critic Nick Talevski, who stated:

The Who members who died are John Entwistle (57), Keith Moon (32), and Douglas Sandom (89). Douglas was the original drummer of the band.

Douglas was a friend of the band and was already in his 30s when the members of the band were in their late teens. The age gap and lack of communication led them to drop Douglas.

Douglas died at the age of 89. He talked about his relationship with the band in his autobiography "The Who Before The Who."

Keith Moon passed away at the age of 32 due to a drug overdose. He took a prescribed crouse of Heminevri (sedative) to overcome the artist's alcohol withdrawal symptoms.

Entwistle died of a heart attack on 27 June 2022, due to a large amount of cocaine dosage. At the time, he was with Alycen Rowse, who was a local groupie.

The Who Original Band Members are Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle, and Doug Sandom. Sandom was the eldest with an age gap of 14-15 years.

Roger and Pete were more hungry for fame and success than Sandom, who was focused on drums to pay bills. Though he was enthusiastic and passionate about the instrument he lacked ambition in comparison to other members of the band.

Doug was ousted by Roger and Pete after they failed an audition with Fontana Records in 1964. The producer of the label at the time (Chris Parmenter) expressed dislike towards Sandom's drumming.

The band also agreed that he should be replaced, thus Douglas was given one month's notice and left the band. After that, Keith was hired and the band released their first album "My Generation, The Who Sings My Generation."

The Who is from Sheperd Bush, London, England. The Bush area is a working-class area.

Daltrey moved there from Acton London. Likewise, Daltrey and Townshend became friends when they were studying in Acton County, West London.

The singer often had trouble at school thus he left school at the age of 15. Entwistle was noticed by Roger while he was walking around carrying a bass. "The Who's" singer immediately roped the artist into his band.

Later they were joined by Doug Sandom who was older and married but he was a proficient musician who had been playing semi-professionally for two years.

The Who was formed in 1964. Three of the band's original members, Townshend, Entwistle, and Daltrey, became friends at Acton County Grammar School.

Before, "The Who" they formed a band named Trad Jazz. After booking more gigs they were called "Detour bands." Focusing on the joke themes, the artists started to call themselves "The Who."

This band had significant accomplishments and accolades. London's band had a loyal fanbase that helped propel the band's fame and reach globally.
