Taste four different styles of pizza in about three hours. Learn about Chicago's 10 pizza styles, and discover why there's more to The Windy City than just deep-dish. Go back in some of the kitchens to see how pizzas are made, and taste the differences. Expert doughcents will share the history of Chicago pizza as well other interesting tidbits about the neighborhood you're exploring. We need to know if there are any vegetarians in your group the day before please.

Please meet at Lou Malnati's West Loop on Randolph Street at 11 am sharp. Let us know AT TIME OF BOOKING if there are any vegetarians in your group, otherwise we will assume you eat pork.

Itinerary

  • Learn about the history of the market, the Haymarket Massacre and the founding of May Day. Some of the styles included on this walking tour includes: deep-dish, Neapolitan, Roman al taglio and Sicilian. Along the way, you'll meet some of the owners and pizza makers, and learn about their history and inspiration for creating their unique pizzas. Our doughcents are trained to discuss Chicago's pizza history, and can talk about highlights from the book, "Pizza City USA."
