  • Dress in layers and wear comfortable shoes as the weather in Sitka is always different. The boat is heated for your comfort, but you will want to get out and enjoy the fresh air.

  • Guests must be able to step on/off boat and depending on the tide, navigate a steep wooden gangway that leads to the dock. The boat is not wheelchair accessible. Due to seat availability, as well as guest safety and comfort, passengers weighing 250 pounds (113 kilograms or 18 stone) will have to purchase an additional seat to reserve adequate space onboard the ship
  • Please take the free down town shuttles to meet us for your tour! We will be at the drop off point with yellow trimmed signs and blue jackets.

Meeting Instructions: All TOURS START "DOWN TOWN" AT: "Harrigan Centennial Hall" 330 Harbor Drive Sitka Alaska YOUR LOCAL TOUR OPERATOR: is “SITKA WILDLIFE TOURS” We will be dressed in bright blue jackets or vests. Please look for our YELLOW SIGNS with “SITKA WILDLIFE TOURS” written on it. There are 3 ways a ship can dock in Sitka. Please carefully pick to match your ship! 1.SITKA SOUND CRUISE TERMINAL INSTRUCTIONS: Most large ships dock 7 miles from downtown. Please take the FREE SHUTTLE BUS TO DOWN TOWN provided. Your local tour representative “SITKA WILDLIFE TOURS” will be OUTSIDE the building (in or near) the Vendor Sales Area starting 30 minutes before your tour departure time. Please meet us at the departure location at least 15 minutes before departure time to check in with your tour representative. Please allow a minimum of 45 extra minutes for the shuttle to downtown. 2.CRESCENT HARBOR TENDERING INSTRUCTIONS: When your ship arrives in Sitka and anchors in the harbor, you will be transported by tender boat to shore. Please exit the ship as soon as possible as this process can be very slow. Your tour departs from the street side of Harrigan Centennial Hall at 330 Harbor Drive located not far from the top of the ramp. Your local tour representative “SITKA WILDLIFE TOURS” will be OUTSIDE the building (in or near) the Vendor Sales Area starting 30 minutes before your tour departure time. We will be wearing bright blue jackets or vests and have yellow signs with “SITKA WILDLIFE TOURS” written on them. Please meet us at the departure location at least 15 minutes before departure time to check in with your tour representative. 3.O’CONNELL BRIDGE TENDERING INSTRUCTIONS: Once ashore please walk 1.5 blocks to "Harrigan Centennial Hall" 330 Harbor Drive.Your representative will be OUTSIDE the building.
