Lincoln Park Zoo Scavenger Hunt

The Lincoln Park Zoo was born in 1868, when four swans were gifted to the city by New York’s Central Park. It has since grown to a 35-acre complex with 200 species from around the world. In addition to the menagerie of more than 1,100 animals, the zoo has programs devoted to conservation, protection and education. Every December, ZooLights brings thousands of visitors to see the zoo at night festively decorated for the holiday season. And it’s all just a few miles north of downtown Chicago! There are eight objectives in our scavenger hunt, encompassing the entire grounds of the zoo, which includes the Nature Boardwalk and Farm-in-the-Zoo. Some of the objectives involve taking a photo, so be sure to share those and any other pictures you take at the zoo on social media using the hashtag #LPZooScavHunt. And don't forget to tag us at @eATLAS! The zoo is open 365 days a year, from 8 AM to 5 PM on the weekdays and 8 AM to 7 PM on holidays. There is no charge for admission.

How to redeem your purchase: The eATLAS mobile app will be your digital guide for the Lincoln Park Zoo Scavenger Hunt Adventure – you don’t need to wait for a tour guide or present a paper ticket! You may also start at any time. FROM YOUR MOBILE PHONE, follow the instructions below to download the eATLAS app, redeem your Viator/TripAdvisor purchase, and get started on your Adventure: 1. Open this link: https://eatlas.page.link/BFZKGVN4pjFkdwMM9 2. The link will take you to the eATLAS listing in either the App Store or Google Play. 3. Download the eATLAS app. 4. Open the App, tap ‘REGISTER’, and choose a signup method: Facebook, Google, Apple (on iPhones only), or Email (enter your email address and password). 5. When prompted, allow ‘Location access while using app’ and ‘Access to photos’ – the eATLAS app may ask you to take photos during the Adventure which you can choose to share on Facebook or Instagram. 6. Once you’re registered, the Lincoln Park Zoo Scavenger Hunt Adventure will appear on the screen. 7. Tap ‘PURCHASE TO PLAY - $8’ and then select ‘Join as an individual’. When the ‘Payment Details’ window appears, enter the Coupon Code ‘LionsTigersBears’, and tap the Pay button. 8. When you’re ready to start the Adventure tap ‘START TO PLAY’ and you’re on your way! To pause the Adventure at any time after you’ve started, tap the Home button on your phone. To resume the Adventure, tap the eATLAS icon from your Home screen. 9. If you need to resume the Adventure at a later time or date, or need to exit eATLAS for any reason, use the back arrow to return to the main screen, tap ‘My Profile’ in the bottom-right corner, and tap ‘Log out’. When you’re ready to resume the Adventure, tap the eATLAS icon from your Home screen, login, and enter ‘Zoo’ in the ‘Search Adventures’ bar at the top of the screen. Tap the Lincoln Park Zoo Scavenger Hunt Adventure and then tap ‘CONTINUE TO PLAY’.

    In this Scavenger Hunt, you'll use our mobile app to travel all over Lincoln Park Zoo to learn about the history of the 35-acre space that houses 1,100 animals, and compete against other players on the Leaderboard to decide who is the best scavenger hunter in Chicago! Just download the app on Google Play or the Apple App store and get started today, tomorrow, or whenever convenient for you. Recommended hours to complete this Adventure are between 8am-5pm.You can pause and restart the Lincoln Park Zoo Scavenger Hunt at any time. To complete this Adventure just follow the prompts, clues and hints from within the Lincoln Park Zoo Scavenger Hunt on the eATLAS mobile app. You will NOT be meeting a guide for this Adventure as it is self-guided.
