  • The guided portion of the tour is 3.5-4 hours (subject to ferry schedule). However, to fully experience Ellis Island, it is recommended that you spend an additional hour on the island afterward
  • Food and drink is available for purchase on the Statue Ferry, Liberty Island, and Ellis Island
  • Involves a moderate amount of walking
  • Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
  • If canceled because of dangerous weather, you will be given the option of an alternative tour date or full refund
  • Photography is allowed on the tour; monopods and tripods are not
  • No weapons of any kind (e.g. pocket knives, pepper spray, Swiss Army knives, etc.) are allowed at the Statue of Liberty. Please leave these items at home
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour's designated start time. The tour departs promptly and no refunds will be given for guests who miss the tour due to being late
  • Once the tour begins, if you make the decision to not follow the guide or their instructions, we cannot guarantee we can reunite you with the group.
  • This tour is not wheelchair accessible
  • Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at least 21 years of age.
  • DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE TOUR IF YOU ARE LATE WE WILL MOST LIKELY NOT BE ABLE TO CATCH YOU UP WITH THE GROUP.
  • Your ferry ticket is NOT included with the price of the tour. You will be sent instructions on how to do this.

Important! This tour DOES NOT include the FERRY TICKET with access to the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty. Below are instructions on how to purchase that ticket. We strongly recommend that you do this immediately to insure availability & access to the pedestal. Why does my purchase of the tour not include the ferry ticket and pedestal access? As of July 1st, 2021 the National Park Service and Statue Cruises (Hornblower) made the decision to halt ALL TOUR COMPANIES from access to purchasing pedestal tickets to the Statue of Liberty. As most customers requested access to the Pedestal of the Statue, we have decided to adjust the price of the tour so the customer has the option of purchasing either ferry/ground tickets or ferry/pedestal tickets. Below you will find the specific instructions how to access and purchase those tickets. If you have any questions or need any assistance please call our office @ (718) 806-1706 and we would be happy to help you step by step through the process. Below you will find important information on our meeting time and place and some of the most asked questions: Check in time: 9:15am Tour begins promptly at: 9:30am Meeting location: Alexander Hamilton Customs House Address: 1 Bowling Green, New York, NY 10004 Length of tour: Approximately 4 hours How will I find the guide? The tour meets on the front steps of Alexander Hamilton Customs House on the front steps. Our TopDogTour Guide will be at the meeting location above. They will be holding a white flag with a blue checkered border with our logo in the center. Gratuity is not included, but it is always appreciated and never expected.
