The centerpiece of the park's attractions are the amazing sandstone formations that look like they are on fire when they are touched by the rays of the sun. The name Valley of Fire comes red sandstone formations, the Aztec Sandstone, which were shaped from shifting sand dunes 150 million years ago. If you choose to visit this little piece of heaven, you'll admire beautiful sites and step on the place were legendary movies like Star Trek were filmed.
