    The Battery (formerly known as Battery Park) is a public park of 25 acres (10 ha) located at the southern tip of the island of Manhattan. The surrounding area, known as South Ferry, contains multiple ferry terminals, including the Staten Island Whitehall Ferry Terminal, as well as boats to the Statue of Liberty National Monument.
