Why Did Selena Gomez And The Scene Break Up?

Why Did Selena Gomez And The Scene Break Up? Selena Gomez And The Scene broke up because Selena wanted to focus on her solo career as a singer and an actor.
Gomez began her career as a child actor in 2002 with 'Barney & Friends'. Starring as Alex Russo in 'Wizards of Waverly Place' made her a household name.
Like her contemporary Disney stars like Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus, she also hopped into the music field. However, she did not want to go solo.
The Texas-born Selena Marie Gomez wanted a band to support her. Because she was already an established name by that time, her label wanted her to be a solo artist.
Ultimately, her label gave in and held an audition looking for the best musicians. In this way, 'The Scene' of Selena Gomez & The Scene band was formed in 2008.
In 2012, the musical act broke up. More than a decade later, Selena's stardom has peaked like never before. She is a prominent actress, singer, and the founder of 'Rare Beauty'.

The 2006 graduate from Berklee College of Music has worked as a musical director for renowned artists like Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth besides Gomez.
Why Did Selena And The Scene Break Up?
Selena And The Scene broke up because the frontwoman of the band decided to embark on a solo musical journey and grow as an actor at the same time.
Almost 5 years after the split, in a 2017 interview with AskAnythingChat, she explained that she felt like it was time for her to go solo. So, she said goodbye to The Scene.
Back in 2008, the Lose You To Love Me songstress was just a teenager with not much experience in singing, or life for that matter. So, she asked her label to find her these guys who could support her.
For around 4 years, Selena Gomez & The Scene created music and released hit tracks. But when she reached the age of 20, she realized she could do it on her own. Hence, the breakup happened.
Gomez announced in 2012 that she was parting ways with The Scene through a Facebook post. She elaborated that the sole purpose of the split was to indulge more in films and acting.
Selena further wrote that her band members were free to work with anyone and anywhere. Although she mentioned that they may get back together sometime in the future, it has not happened yet.
