The Outside Land Music Festival Lineup

Outside Lands Music And Arts Festival is the largest independently owned music festival in the US. It is a 3-day festival held annually in San Fransico, California.

The festival is founded by event marketing giants Another Planet Entertainment, Superfly Presents, and Star Hill Presents. It is the world's highest-grossing festival earning almost $30 million in revenues.

This year will mark the fifteenth anniversary of the fest which has created a lot of hype and anticipation since the previous event.

The inauguration of the first-ever festival was held on August 22, 2008, with Radiohead being the first band to play after dark. It was attended by almost 60,000 fans and featured more than 60 artists.

Since then, the Outside Lands has quickly become the California capital of multi-genre festivals with more emphasis on indie and alternative artists.

The Outside Lands Friday schedule will be commenced by the Grammy and Pulitzer Prize-winning American rapper and songwriter Kendrick Lamar.

He is one of the most influential hip-hop artists of this generation known for his remarkable progressive musical styles paired with socially conscious lyrics.

Having released over five studio albums to date, all of Lamar's albums have been certified Platinum or higher by the RIAA, selling over 70 million records worldwide.

Headlining the Saturday event will be the 15 times Grammy-winners, Foo Fighters. It was founded by former Nirvana member Dave Grohl.

Founded in Seattle in 1994, the band is known for their melding heavy rocks, driving punk, and melodic vocals making them one of the most successful rock acts of all time. 

As of now, they have released 11 sensational studio albums and have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Odesza

Kicking off the Sunday event will be the Seattle-based indie electronica duo Odesza. They are known for their iconic heavy beats.

Formed in 2012, the two University graduates rose to fame in the mid-2010s with the release of their 2014's In Return and 2017's A Moment Apart.

They have since been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards, Electronic Music Awards, and more.

Outside Lands Music Festival will be held in San Francisco, California at Golden Gate Park. It has been always held there since its inaugural in 2008.

Golden Gate Park is a fascinating and massive part of San Fransico, shrouding an impressive 1,017 acres that stretches three miles long and half a mile wide and is identical to New York City's Central Park.

Since the festival's inaugural ceremony on August 22, 2008, the event has always been held at Golden Gate Park and has played a major role in attracting visitors all across the globe.

Along with the beautiful green space in urban settings, the park boasts several places of attraction and landmarks from a Japanese garden to one of the oldest research centers in the US.

As for the local cuisines, Outside Lands has partnered with some of the best restaurants and food trucks the San Fransico Bay has to offer. A separate menu for Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan will also be available.

The Outside Land Date commences from August 11 to August 13, 2023. It is a 3-day festival.

The inauguration of the festival will begin on August 11, 2023, at 12:00 pm in the afternoon and end by 10:00 pm. The event will be headlined by Kendrick Lamar followed by Zedd and Janelle Monae.

Similarly, day two of the event will also kick start at sharp noon and end by 10:pm at night. The headliners for this day will be Foo Fighters, Lana Del Rey, Maggie Rogers, and Fisher.

Finally, the last day of the event will begin at 12:00 pm but will be wrapped up by 9:40 pm. It will feature renowned artist Odesza succeeded by The 1975 and Megan Thee Stallion.
