Up All Night Tour
The Up All Night Tour was the first headlining concert tour by 1D. The tour included performances from their debut album, Up All Night.
Meanwhile, the setlist also included additional five cover songs as the 1D members were budding singing stars from The X Factor. The tour collected a revenue of $5,107,462 from the end of 2011 to July 1, 2012.
Take Me Home Tour
This second tour was started to support the band's sophomore studio album, Take Me Home.
The opening acts were by Camryn in Europe, Olly Murs in Japan, and 5 Seconds of Summer throughout Ireland, the U.K., North America, and Oceania.
As 1D's popularity reached the majority of teens and youth globally, the tour's revenue amounted to $52 million at the end.
Where We Are Tour
This tour marks support for their third studio album, Midnight Memories.
It turned out to be the most successful tour by the band, with an income generation of a whopping $290 million. Out of all 70 shows, only one was canceled in Paraguay due to logistic reasons.
On the Road Again Tour
1D went on this tour to promote and support their fourth studio album, Four.
Band member Zayn left the band after a month into the tour, and only four remained; Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne.
The four continued throughout the tour and traveled through all seven continents, marking their first-ever tour to do so. On The Road Again tour generated $207 million at the end.
One Direction then released their fifth album, Made in the A.M., after a month after their tour's conclusion. And then the band went on an indefinite hiatus, per US Magazine.
One Direction First Concert
One Direction's first concert after their album debut was held on December 18, 2011. It was held at Watford Colosseum in Watford, England.
The concert was a part of their first tour, Up All Night, also named after their debut studio album.
Niall Horan, in September 2017 (after 1D's split), revealed that their first-ever concert did not go well, per the band's rehearsal.
In an interview with BBC, the singer-guitarist confirmed that the gig remains his worst night ever and the worst One Direction show ever.
All of the band members refused to talk about the first concert but got back with a bang-on performance on their second concert.
Horan further explained that since it was their first chance to headline a tour and concert, things could have fallen out of place. However, the show ended as a four-star night as critics praised the five's vocal talents.
In addition to the hit show, it also gave music videos for the band. As the album's standard version includes 13 songs, some music videos include live footage from their tour.
Hence, the song, More Than This, was shot out of their live performance during their debut world tour.
Up All Night Tour Setlist
Up All Night Tour ended with 54 shows throughout three legs. The most popular setlist from that tour is listed below:
- Na Na Na
- Stand Up
- I Wish
- Medley: I Gotta Feeling / Stereo Hearts / Valerie / Torn
- Moments
- Gotta Be You
- More than This
- Up All Night
- Tell Me a Lie
- Everything About You
- Use Somebody
- One Thing
- Save You Tonight
- What Makes You Beautiful
In addition to these hit songs, I Want was a much-demanded encore. Nonetheless, the debit tour and debut album of then-young 1D boys became a big hit among the youth, especially teen and female audiences.
One Direction Last Concert
One Direction's last concert occurred at Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield, on October 31, 2015. The event marked the end of the band's fourth tour, On The Again.
Only Harry, Liam, Louis, and Niall performed at the last concert since Zayn had quit the band eight months ago. The four ended the show by hugging each other as they had also announced their hiatus.
After the show, they also welcomed their crew, management, family, and friends to mark their importance in their journey so far.
The Directioners witnessed the most emotional scene of their idols that night. Billboard called the show an emotionally bromantic one.
Moreover, the band made their last televised performance on December 31, 2015, on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.
