New Order Albums And Discography In Order contain 1. Movement 2. Power, Corruption & Lies 3. Low-Life and others. They are an acclaimed bands of the 80s.

Originating in 1980 in Salford, England, the band was formed by Bernard Sumner, the lead singer and guitarist, Peter Hook, the bassist, and Stephen Morris, the drummer.

It is composed of five members Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris, Gillian Gilbert, Phil Cunningham, and Tom Chapman. They are the most famous and influential band that integrates post-punk with electronic and dance music.

Their single "Blue Monday" was the best-selling 12-inch single of all time in 1983 and the albums such as "Power, Corruption & Lies", Technique" was a huge success in the 1980s.

New Order has faced various hiatuses and personnel changes, however, they released their tenth studio album "Music Complete" in 2015 and were nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Altogether, the New Order has released ten studio albums, six live albums, twelve compilation albums, five extended plays, and forty-five singles.

The New Order discography begins with "Movement" their debut studio album which was released on November 13, 1981, issued through Factory Records.

It was released 18 months after the death of Ian Curtis, the frontman of their previous band Joy Division. It is the continuation of dark post-punk, increasing the use of synthesizers and being predominantly rooted in rock.

The record only ranked at number thirty-one on the UK Albums Chart and was placed at number forty-two on the list of the Best Albums of the 1980s by Slant Magazine.

Power, Corruption & Lies is one of the best New Order albums among fans and critics. It is widely included in lists of the greatest albums of the 1980s.

It is their second record and was released on May 2, 1983, issued by Factory Records. The album has tracks with more electronic elements and heavier use of synthesizers.

Rolling Stone has listed the album at number ninety-four on the 100 greatest albums of the 1980s and number 262 on the 500 greatest albums of all time list. The album was also listed by Slant Magazine at number twenty-three on the list of best albums of the 1980s.

Low-Life contains some of the best New Order songs like "The Perfect Kiss", "Elegia", "Love Vigilantes." It is regarded as the band's best albums.

The record was released on May 13, 1985, and was recorded by Factory Records. The album displayed the transformation from post-punk to dance-rockers.

The record also presents the increased use of synthesizers and samplers along with preserving the rock elements as well.

Low-Life was also enlisted in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die and was listed at number ninety-seven on the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever list by Q magazine.

4. Brotherhood (1986)

Brotherhood contains more of New Order greatest hits like "Bizarre Love Triangle" and "State of the Nation". It is a mixture of post-punk and electronic styles.

The band released this project September 29, 1986 through Factory Records. The tracking listing of the album is conceptually split into "disco and rock sides".

"Bizarre Love Triangle" was the band's successful single and was the only track released as a video as well as a single and the other single "State of the Nation" was included in the CD edition.

The album charted at number one on UK Independent Albums (MRIB), number nine on UK Albums (OCC), and number 117 on US Billboard.

The New Order album Technique ranked at number one on the UK charts for the first time. The first single of the album "Fine Time" also charted at number 11.

It is their fifth studio album that includes Balearic beats and acid house which is influenced by the dance-rock sound. The album was released on January 30, 1989, and was recorded by Factory Records.

The album was certified gold by the United States RIAA and United Kingdom BPI. It was also included at number twenty-one on the list of the 40 Best Albums of the 80s and number 122 on the list of 500 greatest albums of all time in 2013.

Republic is their sixth album and includes New Order top songs like "Regret", "World", "Ruined in a Day" and so on.

The alternative-pop album was released on May 3 1993 in the UK through CentreDate CoLtd and on May 11 1993 in the USA through Qwest and Warner Bros. Records. After that, the band went on hiatus in promotion of the album in August 1993.

Republic was the second album to reach the top of the UK Albums Chart and was also nominated for Mercury Music Prize in 1993. It peaked at number eleven on US Billboard 200 and its single "Regret" ranked at the last top-five entry on UK Singles Chart.

7. Get Ready (2001)

Get Ready is considered the best of New Order as it perfectly blends elements of alternative and electronic rock. The band started the new millennium strong.

On August 27 2001 the album was released in the UK through London Records and on October 16, 2001, it was released by Reprise Records in the USA. It was the first studio album in eight years by the band.

The album was listed as one of the best 50 albums of 2001 by Q and was certified gold by BPI. It ranked number 6 on the UK Albums and number forty-one on US Billboard 200.

Waiting for the Sirens' Call is an alternative rock album that was nominated at the Grammy Awards 2006 for the Best Dance Recording award.

The eighth studio album was released on March 28, 2005, in Uk and April 26 2005 in the US. It was certified silver by BPI and was ranked at number five on the UK Albums chart.

The title track of the album and its single "Jetstream" presents the vocals by Ana Matronic from Scissor Sisters.

9. Lost Sirens (2013)

Lost Siren is their ninth studio album. It was written and performed by Peter Hook, Bernard Sumner, Phil Cunningham, and Stephen Morris.

The album was released on January 11, 2013, and was recorded through Rhino Entertainment. It is the last album with Peter Hook, the bassist, who left the band in 2007.

It charted on UK Albums at number twenty-three and was able to sell 4,678 copies in the first in the UK.

Music Complete is a dance-rock and electropop album that was released by Mute Records on September 25, 2015. It is their final album.

The album is more focused on electronic than its two predecessors. It has also presented some guest vocals from Elly Jackson, Iggy Pop, and Brandon Flowers of The Killers.

Music Complete was also listed in The Best Albums of 2015 by The Guardian and NME's Album of the Year 2015 by NME. The album ranked number two on UK Albums and number thirty-four on US Billboard 200.
