Where Is The Music Festival In Miami 2023? Location Details
The Ultra Music Festival In Miami takes place at Bayfront Park Miami. It has been occurring in this location since the end of the pandemic.
The event originally started occurred at Collins Park, Miami Beach which is on the northeastern point of the historic district of South Beach. It also took place there in 2000.
During these first two years, it saw a total of 10,000 attendees each. To make up for any increase during the following year, the event moved to the current location of Bayfront Park.
Bayfront Park is in Downtown Miami and is a public, urban park in the Biscayne Bay area. The event would take place there from 2001 to 2005 and see a steady increase in attendees from 21,000 in 2001 to 48,000 in 2005.
Due to such an increase in attendance, the event holders once again changed the location, this time to Bicentennial Park, also in Downtown Miami. The event kept getting more and more attendees with the number increasing from over 40,000 in 2006 to over 100,000 by 2011.
In 2012, due to the construction of the Miami Art Museum at the park, the event had to be relocated once again to Bayfront Park. The event would be held at this location again for the next seven years until 2018.
During this time, attendance goes up to over 165,000 and remains at that cap from 2014 to 2018. It is during this time that the festival gains the reputation that it now has.
Many important electronic acts would appear in the festival throughout the 2010s alongside rappers like G-Eazy and Lil Uzi Vert. The festival starts being said in the same breath as bigger ones like Lollapalooza and Burning Man.
However, the increase in popularity also led to some downsides as there were many complaints about noise and other complaints among residents of Downtown Miami. As such, the event holders decided to move the festival to the island of Virginia Key.
Attendance that year ended up being the highest in the event's history. Over 170,000 people showed up at the festival and despite problems with transportation and other minor issues, the event itself was a huge hit.
The success further emboldened the event holders and they decided to make the next one even bigger. But the tragedy struck not only them but the world.
The Covid-19 pandemic forced them to cancel the 2020 event and do the same for the next year. However, 2022 proved to be different as the event returned, and this time once again at Bayfront Park.
Surprisingly, the event does very well and once again attains the numbers it used to do before the pandemic and shows 165,000 attendees. The event will aim to do the same in 2023.
From March 24 to 26, the event will take place on 301 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, Florida at the Bayfront Park.
Ultra Music Festival Miami 2023 Tickets
The tickets for the Ultra Music Festival in Miami are currently on sale on their website. The festival sells different types of tickets.
There are three types of tickets: General Admission tickets, Premium General Admission tickets, and lastly VIP tickets. The general admission tickets have different tiers.
The first is a layaway plan ticket for a deposit that is $9.95. It's a deposit for the full ticket of $449.95, and sadly it's sold out.
Next is Tier 1 which is the cheapest ticket and stands at $299.95. It is also a three-day ticket and sadly this one is sold out too.
The next tier is Tier two which costs $349.95 and is sold out as well. The only tier currently available is the third one which currently stands at $399.95.
Alongside this, there is also the fourth tier which is currently at $449.95 but is stated to be coming soon. Only people who have bought the earlier-mentioned deposit can buy it right now.
Next are the premium general admission tickets. These tickets are much more expensive than the ones in the general admission section and cost $749.95.
However, as they are premium tickets they come with a lot of perks. If purchased they allow the admitted to having a dedicated festival entry and access to the private bathroom stalls that are not only enhanced and routinely cleaned but are situated in multiple locations throughout the event.
They also get access to the PGA lounge where there is a relaxation area and a bar. There are no tiers for this section of tickets.
Lastly, the final type of tickets available is VIP tickets. Unlike the Premium tickets, these ones have tiers. There are two tiers, the first and second.
The first one costs $999.95 but is unfortunately sold out at the moment. The only ticket available in this section is the second one, which costs $1499.95 and is the most expensive ticket on the website.
However, because it is expensive it also has many perks. These perks include expedited entry through various VIP entrances.
This means that one can get into the festival sooner. Also, like the premium ticket buyers get access to dedicated bathrooms and bars located in the VIP village.
They also get access to a main VIP deck from where they get access to the Ultra Main Stage. Lastly, they also get access to many other elevated viewing areas at all the other stages throughout the festival.
