Justin Guarini

Justin Guarini is a singer and songwriter. He is widely recognized as the runner-up of season 1 of American Idol in 2002. 

Hailing from Columbus, Georgia, Guarini, started his musical journey when he was accepted by the Atlanta Boy Choir at the age of four. 

Born to Eldrin Bell and Kathy Pepino, Justin came to the mainstream limelight after auditioning for American Idol. In fact, one of the notable judges Simon Cowell praised Guarini during his audition.

After securing the runner-up position to winner Kelly Clarkson, Guarini signed 19 Management, a producer of entertainment properties for TV, ultimately securing a record deal with RCA.

Clay Aiken

Clay Aiken is a well-noted television personality. He is broadly known as the runner-up for American Idol Season 2. 

He came in a close call to winning the show; however, lost to winner Ruben Studdard by 134,000 votes. Aiken's discography includes 6 studio albums, 2 compilation albums, 5 music videos, 1 EP, and 18 singles. 

Aiken's debut album titled Measure of a Man released on October 14, 2003, via RCA Records, went multi-platinum. The singer dropped four more albums under the RCA label before signing with Decca Records.

Jordin Sparks

The winner of American Idol season 6, Jordin Sparks, was the mentor for Hollywood Week of the 21st season of the show.

Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Sparks had won several talent competitions before making it to the American Idol. Some of which include Coca-Cola's Rising Star and America's Most Talented Kids.

So far, the singer has released 4 studio albums, 17 music videos, 4 EPs, and 25 singles. Sparks' eponymous debut studio album reached number 10 on the US Billboard 200 chart.

David Archuleta

The superhit song Crush singer David Archuleta showed up as one of the mentors for the Hollywood Week of American Idol Season 21.

He is widely known for finishing as the runner-up of Season 7 of American Idol. Archuleta pre-released his first single 'Crush' from his self-titled debut album in August 2008.

Not many artists' debut albums make a huge impact but Archuleta did it with his debut album. It peaked at number two on the chart of Billboard 200 and recorded sales of over 900,000 copies across the world.

Phillip Phillips

The American Idol Season 21 mentor for Hollywood Week, Phillip Phillips, is a singer. He rose to the limelight after winning the 11th season of the show.

His debut album The World from the Side of the Moon remained on the chart of the Billboard Top 200 album for 61 weeks. Likewise, it is also an RIAA-platinum-certified album.

Phillips has recorded sales of 7.5 million digital singles and 2.7 million albums. The American singer has released three studio albums, 1 compilation album, 5 music videos, 3 EPs, and 7 singles to date.

Catie Turner

Catie Turner gained mainstream notability after appearing on season 16 of American Idol, placing herself in the top seven. 

The 23-year-old singer has released two studio albums She dropped her latest and second album titled Heartbroken and Milking It on July 16, 2021, via Atlantic Records.

Besides American Idol, Turner has also auditioned for several reality shows including The Voice. Unfortunately, she made it to only the top 7 of the show as she forgot some words to her performance of Manic Monday by The Bangles. 

Noah Thompson

The American Idol Season 20 winner Noah Thompson was also one of the mentors for the Hollywood Week of the show.

He was working as a construction worker before making it to the singing reality show. Thompson covered songs on his YouTube channel. 

Correspondingly, the 20-year-old also released his original songs including Pedestal, Not a Phase, and Heart Painted Black via YouTube. 

Initially, he didn't have plans to audition for American Idol, but it was his friend Arthur who signed him up for the audition. And the rest is history, Noah bagged the title with his outstanding exhibitions.

Mentors on American Idol 2022 were Bebe Rexha and Jimmie Allen. Alums like Ruben Studdard, David Cook, and more were the mentors for Hollywood Week.

The alumni of the singing reality show showed up as mentors for Hollywood Week in season 20. They are as follows:

Singers and musicians outside of the show offered guidance to the contenders in the early seasons of the show. However, they started inviting back members of the Idol family to mentor the contestants.

Jordin mentored the pop genre, David mentored the rock genre, DeWyze guided the indie/folk genre, and Haley mentored the soul genre in the last season of American Idol in 2022.

The mentor on American Idol 2021 was Bobby Bones, John Stamos, Chris Martin, Bobby Bones, and FINNEAS.

John Stamos, the American actor, and musician guided the contestants in Week 2 of American Idol season 19 where the top 10 performed Disney songs. 

Likewise, English singer Chris Martin was the guest mentor for week 3. The top 7 performed Coldplay songs as well as the songs dedicated to their mothers.

FINNEAS, the American singer widely known as the brother of Billie Eilish, showed up as the guest mentor in week 4.

During the 4th week, the top 4 had a variety of options to choose from. They could perform a reprise of their favorite performance of the season, songs of their personal idols, and winner's singles.

Correspondingly, Bobby returned as the mentor in the finale i.e., in the 5th week. The top 3 contestants performed songs dedicated to their hometowns, a song chosen by the judge, and a reprise of their favorite performance of the entire season.

The American Idol mentors this week at Disney Aulani are Noah Cyrus and Allen Stone. This was confirmed via the show's Instagram page.

Widely known as Miley Cyrus's sister, Noah has forged her own path in the entertainment industry. Allen, on the other hand, is a noteworthy singer who appeared in American Idol to sing duets with multiple contestants in 2018.

The show returned to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, for two incredible nights of performances, that started airing on April 16, 2023. During that time, the top 26 selected contestants perform in front of a large live audience and judges.

All the contenders gave their best performance in hopes of earning votes and continuing to move forward. The top 26 contestants were assigned to celebrity mentors, Noah Cyrus and Allen Stone. 

Celebrity mentor Noah helped the second group of contestants whereas Allen helped the first group of contenders going to Sunday night's episode of the competition.

American Idol mentors payment has not been made public knowledge. The judges' payment however is known.

Judges Lionel Richie cumulates $15 million, Luke Bryan assembles $18 million, and Katy amasses $30 million following a $5 million raise according to a Reddit thread. Katy Perry is the highest-paid judge in America assembling $30 million a season.

Katy was in fact offered $25 million per season prior to signing the contract with the singing show. Whereas for the first round, judges Luke and Lionel were provided $2.5 million as per the reports of Distractify.
