Chris Cornell In Soundgarden served as drummer and singer in 1984. They were pioneers of grunge music styles, blending with punk rock and metal genres.

Originally three-piece group hired Scott Sundquit as a drummer in 1985, allowing Cornell to focus on vocals. With this core lineup, they traveled around performing at various concerts for about a year.

The band experienced mainstream success with the release of their breakthrough album "Superunknown (1994)", lead by the two hit singles "Spoonman" and "Black Hole Sun". Both singles received Grammy Awards and the album placed at number one in the Billboard 200 chart.

Chris Cornell In Temple Of The Dog worked as a lead vocalist. The band had launched their only album as a tribute to his friend Andrew Wood.

Formed in 1991, along with Cornell other members of the group consist of Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament, Mike McCready, and Matt Cameron. They mostly record grunge and alternative rock genres.

The supergroup's only album "Temple of the Dog (1991)" was a platinum album for the members. It contains a much different melody of aggressive metal.
