Geldof held a meeting with Gary Kemp of the Spandau Ballet to finalize the band's involvement with Band Aid. The rendezvous happened in an antique shop.

It was a successful meetup between Bob and Gary.

Martin Kemp is another member of the Spandau Ballet to participate in the Band Aid. Like his counterparts, Martin sang the chorus part.

In the musical ensemble, he used to perform the role of bass guitarist.

Adam Clayton of the rock band U2 based in Ireland also contributed as a singer for the fundraising activity. Adam served as the chorus singer for Band Aid.

He is widely regarded as the bass guitarist of the band.

Marilyn did not receive any invitation to become a part of the charity event, unlike other artists. Marilyn himself approached the producers for participation.

He had a few lines with Glenn Gregory. The two also sang a verse along with Paul Young which goes like this:

The Boomtown Rats bassist and composer, Pete Briquette was part of the pop stars singing the Feed The World chorus. The Irish artist is adept as a keyboardist.

Drummer Jon Moss of the musical group Culture Club sang the Feed The World part of the Christmas song. Moss has been present in the music scene since 1976.

Steve Norman is a multi-instrumentalist with knowledge of guitar, keyboard, saxophone, and guitar. The 63-year-old sang the chorus portion for Band Aid in 1984.

Rick Parfitt was approached by Bob Geldof to give their vocals in the 'Here's To You' part. But things did not go as planned.

Parfitt ended up singing the Feed The World part.

Robert Earl Bell a.k.a Kool joined the supergroup for the charity event. The founding member of the Kool & the Gang group sang the chorus.

Keren Woodward gave her voice to the 1984 Band Aid as well as the second version of the Christmas song. Woodward is the singer for the Bananarama girl group.

Paul Weller, a member of The Style Council gave his voice to the Do They Know It's Christmas? song. The band also performed at the Live Aid concert of 1985.

Jody Watley joined the musical forces with other top artists like Boy George and Status Quo to harmonize in the chorus part of the Band Aid song.

Watley herself is a record producer, singer, and lyricist of the pop genre.

Martyn Ware is the original lineup of Heaven 17 besides Glenn Gregory and Ian Craig Marsh. Ware sang the chorus section although Glenn was given verses to sing.

Midge Ure and Geldof got together to do the philanthropic job of creating the supergroup Band Aid in 1984. Even Ure participated in the chorus and not the verse.

James "J.T." Taylor of the Kool & the Gang also sang the chorus part for the first song prepared by the supergroup.

James was the vocalist and keyboardist for the Kool & the Gang for nine years.

Andy Taylor of Duran Duran served as an instrumentalist by playing guitar besides singing the chorus for the Band Aid track. Andy also played at Live Aid 1985.

For many musicians like Rod Stewart, C. C. Catch, Belinda Carlisle, and more he has worked as a guitar player, and record producer. For some, he has even penned songs.

Phil Collins vocals can be heard in the Feed The World chorus. The Genesis band member also played drums for the Band Aid song.

In 1985, he was present at the Live Aid concert that happened at Wembley Stadium.

Francis Rossi of the Status Quo band was supposed to sing a verse with his mate Rick Parfitt.

Because Parfitt was not able to hit the high notes, Francis had to back out too.

Nick Rhodes is another artist who took part in the chorus part that goes like this:
