Those groups generally make Korean pop songs, thus the name, which is popular both in South Korea and globally. They are popular for their visually appealing performances, catchy music, and fashionable style.
As with other types of musical artists, they release singles, albums, and music videos and also participate in live performances as well as promotional activities.
Some of the artists are breaking records in how many albums they have and how quickly their albums are getting pre-ordered.

10. Apink
Apink is a South Korean girls group that was formed by IST Entertainment. Originally, the group consisted of seven members, but now it has five.
The five members of the group are Park Cho-Rong, Yoon Bo-mi, Jeong Eun-ji, Kim Nam-Joo, and Oh Ha-young.
The group first debuted on the album Seven Springs of Apink on April 19, 2011. Their best-selling album is Pink Memory, released in 2015, and has over 90k sales.
It has won the Golden Disc Awards, the Seoul Music Awards, and the Mnet Asian Music Awards since its debut. Hit songs by Pink are Hush (2012), Mr. Chu (2014), My My (2011), NoNoNo (2013), and many more.
9. T-ara
One of the best selling Kpop girl group is T-ara. The group made their debut in July 2009 with the single "Lie" from their debut album, Absolute First Album.
Formed by MBK Entertainment in 2009, the group consists of four members: Qri, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon.
Their 2011 song, Roly-Poly, became very successful in Japan. They earned praise and nationwide recognition after releasing this song, which became one of the best-selling singles of the year.

Kara was formed in 2007 by DSP Media. The group consists of six members, i.e., Gyuri, Seungyeon, Hara, Youngji, Nicole, and Jiyoung.
Kara debuted first in 2007 as a quartet with the album The First Blooming, which did not do well commercially. After some changes in sound and members in 2008, it became successful from there.

2. Girls’ Generation
Best selling Kpop group Girls' Generation is also known as SNSD. This group was formed by SM Entertainment.
SNSD is composed of eight members: Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun. Originally, the group had nine members, but in September 2014, Jessica left the group.
The Girls' Generation earned the honorific nickname 'The Nation's Girl Group' and several accolades in their home country.
