The Never Wanted Nothing More singer is currently on his first solo headlining concert tour. The tour started on April 20, 2017, and its concluding date was announced to be on October 28, 2023.

However, with his fandom and demand among musicophiles, there are high chances of additional tour dates on the calendar. His popularity made him headline Rock The South 2023 country music festival.

Stapleton's talent for music and live performances are notable, but it is his touring team who have impressed the fans as well.

Mike Eli LoPinto is the lead guitarist and a young member of the Stapleton tour band. Unlike his bandmates, who are in their 60s, he joined the team recently.

He had moved to Nashville in 2012 due to a bet from Boone, North Carolina. Mike attended Appalachian State University but had been a keen guitar player.

He has been a touring guitarist for the past ten years and has played alongside Nikki Lane, Lilly Hiatt, and Whitey Morgan. Apart from touring and his career, he has a wife named Anna and a son. The family of three lives in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Derek Mixon

Derek Mixon is a drummer originally from Louisiana. His drumming style is noted for being deeply rooted in American music.

Meanwhile, he is primarily known for recording and touring with Chris. Besides the ongoing tour, Mixon also contributed to Chris' fifth and latest studio album, Higher, as a drummer.

J.T. Cure

Jarrod Travis "J.T." Cure has been with Chris since their time in The Jompson Brothers. Cure looks after the bass during the tour.

Alongside Mixon, Cure had also worked in Higher. Hence, the two remain closer to Stapleton in terms of work.

Outside his musical ventures, J.T. portrayed a soldier who is reanimated as a wight in a Game of Thrones episode titled "The Long Night." The episode was aired on April 28, 2019, as the third episode of GOT's eighth season.

Morgane Stapleton

Morgane Hayes is a singer and songwriter on her own. She married Chris in 2007 after falling in love when the latter was a songwriter.

They look after five children and a dog named Maggie. Besides their family stories, Morgane has written songs for notable artists such as Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, and LeAnn Rimes.

Among these four, there are other notable members of the tour. Andy Barron is the official photographer for them.

Meanwhile, Dave Cobb, who shares a Grammy with Chris, Cure, and Mizon, is Stapleton's regular record producer. He had produced, Starting Over, Chris' fourth studio album.

Cure and Mixon were also a part of it; hence they won the 2020 Grammy for Best Country Album.

Chris Stapleton was in two bands before venturing into a solo music career. The two bands and his time in them are mentioned below:

Chris officially founded a Southern rock band, The Jompson Brothers, in 2010, after his departure from his first band.

The band was active since 2007 but only operated as a late-night jamming band in a garage.

He did vocals and rhythm guitar for the group. His other mates and their roles in the band are mentioned below:

These musically aligned brothers released their debut album, The Jompson Brothers, independently in November 2010.

However, they disbanded in 2013, and Chris signed with Mercury Nashville, a division of Universal Music Group Nashville, as a solo artist.

In his early days, Chris Stapleton was the lead vocalist of a bluegrass band. The band is still active today and is known as The SteelDrivers.

They also got one Grammy Award nomination in 2009 in the category of Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for their track, Blue Side of the Mountain.

The group succeeded further with their sophomore album, Reckless, which got two Grammy nominations in 2010. After that, Chris left the group to focus on his family life though he returned with his own band.
