Beauty School Dropout Band Members Names And Ages

Beauty School Dropout band members are Colie Hutzler, Beepus Burdett, and Bardo. The band once also consisted of Mike Rose and Diego Ferrera.

Originally a five-piece band, various circumstances turned them into the music trio they are now. However, the music that the three current members and the two previous members aspired to make has not changed.

The roles of each of the current band members are as follows:

• Colie Hutzler - Vocalist and Frontman
• Beepus Burdett - Bassist and Backup Vocals
• Bardo - Producer and Rhythm Guitarist

Colie Hutzler

Beauty School Dropout band member Colie Hutzler is the vocalist and frontman. Hutzler is 24 years old and was born on August 17, 1998.

The idea for Beauty School Dropout was actually a solo project for Hutzler himself when his previous band, Strangefaces, which also featured current member Brent Burdett and sometimes member Mike Rose, imploded. After the end of that band, Hutzler wanted to do some solo work himself.

However, soon the solo project turned into a collaboration with Burdett and Rose, which eventually then brought Bardo and Diego Ruelas into the mix, and the band became a five-piece, and eventually the three-piece it is now. Regardless of the circumstances, Hutzler still holds the reins for most of the creative control in the group, though the rest of the band shares his vision immensely.

In fact, the name of the band is very personal to Hutzler. According to an interview with Beyond the Stage, the name comes from his grandmother's favorite song from Grease, which is a movie he also enjoys immensely.

Brent "Beepus" Burdett

Brent "Beepus" Burdett is the bassist for Beauty School Dropout. Burdett is 27 years old and was born on October 10, 1995.

According to the aforementioned interview, Burdett met Hutzler when the singer messaged the bassist's girlfriend. Though he had originally wanted to hook up with the girl and had invited her to hang out, she insisted on bringing her boyfriend, Burdett.

Incidentally, despite the strange introduction, Hutzler fell for Burdett, in an artistic way, and the two became creatively smitten with each other. The connection led to them becoming members of Strangefaces, their first band together, and though that project imploded, Burdett quickly joined Beauty School Dropout.

Burdett is considered by many to be the best-looking member of the band, and his looks, Kurt Cobain-esque hair, and full body tattoos have made him a favorite for photographers. As such, outside of the band, the bassist is also known to model, much to the delight of his fans, and Burdett too loves to experiment with clothing, accessories, and especially his hair, which he has colored in various ways. 

Bardo

Bardo is the guitarist for Beauty School Dropout. Initially, the musician was a producer the group had hired.

The musician is the only member of the current incarnation of the band who was not in Strangefaces, nor in the initial incarnation of Beauty School Dropout when it had evolved from Hutzler's project to a collaboration. However, just because he wasn't there from the start has not brought any friction between Bardo and the rest of the group.

Quite the opposite actually as Hutzler had met Bardo at a show he was helping throw at an establishment called the Winston House where a mutual friend of theirs was performing. Like Burdett, Hutzler managed to strike an instant connection with Bardo and took the bassist along with him to work together in the studio.

Initially, there was no intention to bring Bardo into the fold, but without even meaning to the guitarist won them over, and he has been with the band ever since. Bardo's role in the band may be as a guitarist in the official sense, but the musician is still very active behind the scenes and is prone to helping out with the boards.

Beauty School Dropout band once also consisted of Mike Rose and Diego Ferrera. Of the two, Rose still performs with the band somewhat.

As with many popular bands, the road to stardom leaves some initial members on the wayside. Though the same can be said for BSD, the case with their former members can be quite tricky as one of them still performs with the band, and the other one has written and produced for the band well after his departure.

Mike Rose

Mike Rose was the drummer of Beauty School Dropout. However, he still performs with the band in various capacities.

Rose was one of the members of the first incarnation of Beauty School Dropout back when it was called Strangefaces. As stated above, the band quickly ended before they could make any headway, but Rose eventually became a member of the first incarnation of Beauty School Dropout.

As the drummer, Rose was an integral part of that first incarnation and remained with the band when it eventually became a fivesome with producer and guitarist Diego Ferrera. However, something changed between then and now as Rose is no longer counted as an official member of the band whenever they do press runs and interviews, but still plays with the band on a regular basis. 

Neither the band nor Rose has ever made statements about the drummer's position in the band. In fact, if his Instagram is still connected to the band, but in what capacity is currently unknown. 

Diego Ferrera

Diego Ferrera is the former guitarist and producer for Beauty School Dropout. Ferrera is the only member not currently playing with the band.

However, his affiliations with the band have not entirely ended as Ferrera has written, produced, mixed, and mastered for the band. Ferrera's most recent work with the band was co-writing their track Starphucker which also featured Alternative artist Royal and the Serpent back in August 2021.

Ferrera came to be acquainted with the band back when they were still a different version of Strangefaces. Alongside Bardo, Ferrera produced for that first incarnation of the band and eventually became one of the members with his official role becoming the guitarist.

However, as with Rose, Ferrera's departure from the band has not been publicized but sometime in 2021, the guitarist decided to part ways with the band, and since then he has been writing, producing, mixing, and mastering for a whole host of other artists. Most recently, he has started playing with the artist Christian Gates and is set to perform with him in the upcoming Lollapalooza festival. 

Beauty School Dropout A&R is Mark Hoppus of Blink 182. The band is also under the Verswire label run by Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz.

Mark Hoppus has been a big influence on the band and is part of the reason why the band has been able to get the level of attention that they currently possess. Hoppus is, of course, famous for being a member of one of the biggest pop punk bands of their time and now, Blink 182.

However, right now, as the band's A&R, Hoppus has done a lot of work helping the band with their image and how they present themselves to the world. Much of the band's current activities are a highly stylized version of how Blink 182 used to do things back in their heyday in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Pete Wentz, on the other hand, is as much of pop punk royalty as Hoppus and is widely remembered for being the guitarist and frontman of the group Fall Out Boy. Currently, he runs Verswire records alongside Sherry Saeedi, who has long been in the music industry in various background capacities.
