The band was the first group that signed with Uptown Records with Heavy D as the frontman and only rapper.

BulletBoys were platinum-selling artists formed in Los Angeles in 1986. The group was composed of Marq Torein, Ira Black, Brad Lang, and Fred Aching.

Between 1988 and 1991 the group released two successful albums and had a number of singles featured on MTV.

The group went through numerous lineup changes from the 1990s onward with Torein as the only consistent member. Their recent album was released in 2018 which named From Out of the Skies.

Most recently, in 2019 Bulletboys announced that their original lineup would be reuniting with a hometown gig on December 30, 2019.

Due to toxicity within the band, Jimmy D'Anda and Mick Sweda left and the reunion lasted until January 2022.
