Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is the first US international airport to be opened after the 9/11 attacks. It is located nearly 18 miles away from Panama City, Florida.

The Northwest Florida airport was initially constructed as a replacement for the Panama City-Bay County International Airport. Although established as a destination for international travelers, the airport currently doesn't have any scheduled international flights. PGD is a hub for the low-cost Allegiant Air, which flies to 51 destinations from the Florida-based airfield. The airport has three asphalt runways and serves over 1.8 million passengers every year.

Gainesville Regional Airport is a primary commercial service airport that served over 500 thousand passengers in 2022. Located northeast of Gainesville, the airport is owned by the Gainesville-Alachua County. 

Delta Air Lines and American Airlines are the only major commercial airlines to fly out of GRA. The scheduled flights are primarily to Miami, Charlotte, and Dallas/Fort Worth. The airport opens up at 3:30 a.m. and closes by 12:30 a.m. Passengers are not allowed to stay in the terminal overnight.

Vero Beach Regional Airport is a secondary airport located a mile away from Vero Beach, Indian River County, Florida. The airport became operational in 1930 and is considered to be the home of the Piper Aircraft.

VRB is currently a hub for Breeze Airways which has flights to Hartford, Norfolk, and White Plains. Similarly, it will begin flying to Providence on November 2, 2023. The airport is famous for its parking-friendly policy, which allows passengers to park their vehicles free of charge for up to three weeks.
